What to expect?

UFIXU is on a mission to help you live a pain-free life, move freely and increase overall health and wellbeing.

Whether it’s a walk down to the shops, a holistic gym class or competing at a high level, you need a balance of strength, stability and mobility. UFIXU has the tools and treatments to help you.

If you have a niggling injury that won’t go away, a recent injury or in need of specific rehabilitation, UFIXU have a team of experts to help you get back on track.

What will the sessions include?

Following a thorough assessment, most commonly, the majority of the sessions will be active, exercise-based sessions in the gym, giving YOU the tools and educating YOU on how to live a pain-free life.

We will be showing you what to do and what not to do, which will have a lasting impact on your life forever. We don’t want you to rely on a Physiotherapist to ‘fix you’ we want to educate and support you on how to self-manage your injury every step of the way.

From the initial assessment, our physiotherapist will provide each patient/person with a condition diagnosis, including an individual treatment plan with an approximate duration of how long the recovery time will be and what to expect at each stage. Each stage of the tailored treatment plan will be discussed with you and monitored throughout.

During the assessment/ consultation

During the initial assessment, a past and present medical history is taken.
A physical examination follows this. Diagnosis of the problem, with possible causes and an appropriate treatment plan, are discussed.

Psychological factors are also considered, i.e. Mention something about psychological factors ie the biopsychological model. This model looks at the biological, psychological and social aspects of your health.

The initial appointment is very common to put the patient at ease and educate them about their injury, once they understand what is happening, they usually are put at ease!

Most of our patients are seen at the practice, but home visits can be arranged.

Post-treatment

We are on hand post-treatment. If you walk away from the appointment and have any other questions or have something you have forgotten to ask, we can answer these. You can email, message or call, and we will endeavour to get back to you within 24hrs.
